I installed a viper 791xv everything works but  i only can unlock the car i can lock it i suspect im working in the wrong  lock wire any ideas what im doing wrong

Can you ground either wire and do they work then?
You may need stronger ground for Lock / Unlock which would require 2 SPDT Relays

Try:

Power Lock brn/gry or RED / brn   -  drivers kick or alarm  posted_image
Power Unlock gray/white   -  drivers kick or alarm  posted_image

is it a vac system if it is then u have to cut the blue green wire in the drivers kick panel and wire it for a vac system
