Hooking up a bypass kit to an audiovox aps-996a alarm/remote start and the gm-u.7 wants a "ground when running" - input on its blue wire. I have looked high and low for the source of this on my alarm and cannot find it...any suggestions?

some alarm aux's can be programmed to come on when disarming.

dunno bout when running but see if the aux's are programmable like this

On the 996a there should be a Light blue Ignition 3 output.

It should provide a "300ma ground output 3 seconds before remote start, ground while running, and 4 seconds after the remote start turns off/shut down"

Use this wire. Should work fine with no programming required..
