the term 'problem' may be a bit extreme as it were, but it sums up the situation well enough.

i have a 1971 Opel GT AT - a little tiny thing made in germany from '68-72'. Any the hoo, you can imagine there isn't SPIT for 'accessories'. A heatable rear window and a buzzer, self retracting seat belts... these were considered novelties.

So i'm installing a series of 'upgrades' for the car, making it more enjoyable and 'cruising'. Remote starter (you can wager it was fun putting in all the sensors and running a servo to choke the carb and all that). Any ways, inorder to get speakers into the front of the car, you gotta put them in thedoors, only problem there, window cranks are in the way. SO.

on to my point.

I need a low profile, very narrow window door motor. I know there's a lot of different cars represented on this site here, and i was wondering if anyone has seen anything in their time messing with such things that would apply to my situation here.

currently, my father runs the same system in his vehicle, using a pair of motors that are 2 inches deep, 5 to 6 inches long, about 3 inches tall. This is actaually too large, and the windows 'bump' into the motor before going all the way down, remaining 2 inches or more over the top of the slot.

Or. ANyone know how to cut a groove in a window that is older than spit without shattering it? heh.
