I'd like to add a piezo speaker to the inside of my car that will sound when the alarm is tripped. Is there a wire that goes high when the alarm goes off? or is it something that needs to be decoded from the Class-II bus?

If the OEM alarm sounds the horn, you can add a relay that triggers the siren from the horn. Wire it so that the relay will turn off when the IGN is on so that it doesn't sound when the truck is running.

Thanks, thats a great suggestion. The only downfall is that the horn only sounds for 30 seconds and I'd like it to stay on for about 2 minutes. But you gave me a good idea, I'll make a circuit that stays open for 2 minutes after being triggered by the horn when the ignition is off. Does anyone think there is a more elegant (read: easier) way to accomplish this?
