I installed a 530t window rollup module on my 2003 Ford cobra. When the alarm is triggered or armed the 530t automatically rolls the windows up . This function works fine if the windows are open, but if the windows are closed the 530t tries to roll up the windows and blows the 20A fuse. The 530t is wired directly to each window motor. I used 12 gauge wire to wire the passenger door. I powered the 530t using 10 gauge wire on the battery and I used a 25A fuse near the battery. First I used a 20A fuse but it blew, the 25A fuse doesnt blow. Can anyone help? Can I put a 25A fuse on the 530t or will that damage the window module? Is there any other possible solution? Thanks ------------- Jamchan

what is the fuse value for the factory windows and is there one for right and left or does one fuse cover both . all it does is use relays to power the windows so i doubt the 25a fuse would hurt the module.

you can also adjust the resistance on the 530 thru the dipswitches. that might work as well

While we're on the topic of 530T......... My 530T doesn't have dip switches. I removed the cover, nothing under there either. The unit works perfectly as is. Just wondering about the switches. ------------- Clarion, Xtant, AudioControl, Focal

Hey S10Fan, you might have an older 530t. If I'm not mistaken, I think the newer models have the dipswitches. Jamchan...I was wondering what securinu was wondering....what sizes are the fuses for your windows....and do you have 1 fuse for both, or a separate fuse for each. When I installed my 530t, I kept blowing the fuse for the passenger's window when I used the passenger switch only....but everything else worked fine (even the switch on the driver's door for the passenger's window). I finally figured out that I had used the wrong wires "going to the motor" on the passenger door. When I switched the wires, everything worked fine and no more blown fuses. You might want to double check. By the way, how does yours roll up the window when the alarm goes off? Mine only goes up when the car is armed. Just curious.

The fuse that protects the window wiring is actually a 20A circuit breaker. It protects both windows. I just found this out today after reading my owner manual...I think the circuit breaker resets itself if it blows..I'm not sure. Anyone know? Anyway it sounds like youre saying that a 25A fuse shouldnt hurt the 530t right? I really appreciate all this feedback. This is my first post. I double checked all the wiring several times. I changed the wire gauge and I changed the power source. I already blew about 16 fuses trying to figure this out. I think I may just put in a 20A circuit breaker like the factory circuit protection system. I have the Matrix 3's orange wire (ground-when-armed output) connected to the 530t's orange wire with a diode in between. So when the alarm is triggered the Matrix grounds the orange wire and sends the windows up. This is the same wire that disables the starter. ------------- Jamchan

Oh yeah. My 530t has dipswitches set to the medium setting. At the factory setting the passenger window didnt work and the driver window worked sometimes.

that's odd....there was even a whole post on how to get the 530t to roll up the windows when the alarm triggers (or was it when the alarm did a warn away). I think this was the link: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=5&TopicID=4000 There wasn't really a conclusion, but that was the topic.....getting it to roll up with the alarm. I have mine just like yours, with the diode installed because it shares the orange wire with the starter kill. hmmmm, interesting.
