I'm not sure if this belongs in security but, my father's car has been egged numerous times..So does anyone know how i would rig up a small security camera in the car to see who the perpetrator is? I need to get him/her so i can file vandalizing charges! Any help would be great. Thanks.

It may be better to have the camera outside the car. You'd get a better angle. You could hide it on the house, or in a window of the house. I personally, would dress in all black, get a dozen eggs and hide in the bushes, then give them a taste of their own medicine.posted_image

I'd steer clear of asianwolf, I've heard a few horror stories about them.

I have used the one at harbor freight and it works really well... its worth a try if you have one around... they will return it within 30 days if you dont like... i've done it a lot on stuff.

I use a wireless motion sensor.  To warn me of anybody loitering infront of my car.   I had the sensor hidden somewhere in front just behind the grill of the car.  When movement is detected,   the receiver upstairs in my apartment gives me a gentle beeping.

These cheapo but effective gadgets are available at walmart.

You can start with this building block and improve on it.   I rigged the receiver so that a lampshade in my window  is turned on everytime someone  walks infront  of the car.  I guess you can do other things,  like  turning on power to a video recorder connected to a camera that's aimed at your car.
