Hey guys basically here's the problem, I have this alarm in a 03 ACURA TL TYPE S w/ navigation and the horn is hooked up to the alarm so that when the siren goes off when the alarm is triggered the horn honks too.  Now the problem is when I unlock my doors, not only do I get 2 chirps from the siren but I also get one breif honk from the horn which I'd like to somehow disable.  I know it can be done but my installer didn't want to do it, which I dont really want to get into.  I know want to know whether I can do this myself or do I need to go somwhere to get it redone?

I am somewhat able to do these things on my own so if someone could be kind enough to explain how to do it, what I need to do it I'd be greatful.  Thanx!!

I've tried that, and it silences the chirps and honks however I dont want to have to do that everytime since that is very annoying and I don't always remember to do that everytime.

do you have to have horn honk wired because i dont think there is a way around it you will just have to live with it

Well the horn doesn't honk on the close just the unlock.  I asked around and said that some type of delay thing has to be wired becuase the second chirip of the siren causes the current to travel long enough so the horn gets triggered for a short second and honks. This is the reason why it doesnt happen on the close since the siren only chirps once.

Also one moer thing is that several TL's have been wired so that this isn't a problem, know it can be done, but need to know how and whether it is easy.
