I'm puting a remote starter in my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and the starter has a windows control feature. The problem is that is has one wire for up, one wire for down and a wire for 2 ignition and after all three it has the simble (- out). Now what is a (-out) and how will it control both driver and passenger windows?posted_image

What is supposed to be the trigger that rolls up your windows and what rolls them down? (on your remote I mean)  I am not too familiar with that unit, but those wires are just triggers anyway, either to trigger relays or a window roll up module.  Do you have any other information on this feature of your starter unit or is that all it says.  Usually there is an ignition input wire that tells the unit not to roll up your windows when the ignition is on so that you dont toll your fingers up in the window (No! this never happened to meposted_image).  But you say it is a negative output right?  Is this ignition wire definately for the window roll up/down feature?  I am just trying to figure out more about this since I have not dealt with this starter unit much.  Where did you get it from?

I bought the system off Ebay it has one wire for up, one wire for down and a wire for 2 ignition and after all three it has the simble (- out). I have checked out some control modules but most just have one output wire that rolls up the window so would I have to put two of them in to make it go down?

I cannot say for sure without looking at the manual, but what it sounds like is that you would need a module for each direction.  You would also need a trigger for each unless you have seperate buttons on your transmitter for this purpose.
