im almost done installing the APS996A on my 91 toyota truck. i know the tach signal wire is right, and all the other wiring. i have double checked it all with a 12volt test light and it is right. My problem is the remote start wont work. I get a beep from the remote telling me that something is wrong. Last night i found out u had to program the unit to my tach input signal from the coil. I did that and after that it started up. I then finished the wiring and some other things but the unit was unpluged so it lost the settings i think. Now when i try to program the tach signal it only gives me one flash of the driving lights which says the run timer has exprired... what the hell is that?!?! Now when i try to remote start it does nothing not even flash the driving lights like it use to.

Oh yeah, when you unplug the main harness you don't loose settings.

Force it into valet mode and then back to normal mode. Make sure the BLACK/ white wire is grounded..check your grounds. Reprogram Tach and go from there..
