I purchased a '00 Toyota Celica GT 5spd. It did not come with a key fob or anything, just the key. The battery was going bad so I replaced it. Upon replacing it I heard a "Chirp". And I thought, hmm that sounds like an aftermarket car alarm. So then I went to open my door and it was locked (power windows/locks already) and when I pulled on the handle it chirped 3 times. Still not believing I had a car alarm.. I bumped the side of the car.
BAD IDEA! After finding the over ride switch underneath the dash I finally got the alarm off. I located the alarms module. It was right underneath the dash by the left kick panel.
It's all black box with the wire inputs going into the side of it (not the top or bottom). It has alot of information on it on wiring it up but no product info (make/model). All I can find to identify it is a FCC ID# but that's not much use to me.
How can I determine what aftermarket car alarm I have so I can buy a key fob? Oh yeah it also had some information pertaining to remote start (starter lead or smoething like that).
Thanks for any help.

Picture? FCC ID# might help US as well, it will narrow down to which brand alarm it is.

I recognize it. It is either a david levy or omega alarm. It works but not much special about it. I'll see if I can at least get a picture of what the remote looks like and find a place that sells the remotes and I will put a link up.

well according to the FCC ID # look up it's registered to:
Naldjian Bros Inc
dba Delta Vehicle Security 6727 San Fernando Road
Glendale, CA 91201
United States
A quick google search for Delta Vehicle Security turns up car-alarms.com, which appears to be their homepage.
Now going to whitepages.com I did a reverse look up on their phone number listed on their website and it returned "Panther Electronics". Google Maps shows it to be just 8 miles from Naldjian Bros Inc
So apprently it's Delta and I got all this other useless information. Because if I would have did a simple whois, I would have found out that car-alarms.com is registered to Jack Naldjian that's on my FCC ID# owner.
So now that we know the FCC ID# off my car alarm is registered to the guy that owns car-alarms.com. I can safely assume I may order a key fob from this compnay and it'll be the right one.

The google maps leading to Naldjian Bors Inc is here.
I also found several pictures on epionions.com of my car alarm.
Due to the shapes of the sirens and the modules, I believe my system is either a Genesis Pro or a Delta Pro 2000 with FM transmitors. Here are the images respectively:
Any idea on telling which one it is? What about getting a key fob for it? Which one would I need? I think I'm going to call that number on car-alarms.com tomorrow. (Friday the 15th) ------------- z0rz
