okay guys. I have an clifford 800iq alarm system in my car, and for some reason, i keep losing the programming every couple of month( the buttons on the remote don't do anything, its like the remote is not programmed yet.). I have 3 remotes programmed on it, and the manual said I can have up to 4. Why is this happenin, these remotes have been programmed by a professional, and he knows what he is doing, what could be the problem. thx

are we sure the alarm is losing its programing or maybe the remotes not workign. have you replced the battery in the remotes.

the batteries are brand new (the light on the remote is very bright) the remotes arew alll working, when I take it to the guy to fix it, he just resets it, then program it and everything then works fine, I just don't knwo why it keeps losing the programming, its so wired.

I think i might know the problem but i am not 100% sure. sometimes when I try to turn on the car with the acutal car key, the car doesnt turn on, i have to keep trying like 4 times till it turns on with the key, i think the battery is weak, but can that be the problem why the remotes keep losing the programming?? because of the battery?

maybe bu tim not sure on that, but if that was the case all the programing should go back to default, like active/passive arming and such. bu tim not sure what all yours are set at. have the battery check out, and go form tere.

i had a similar problem with a viper alarm once(dei, the same company), where i had 4 remotes programmed in and some went out if they were not used in a certain amount of time. the only thing i can tell you is that i think over time it automatically dumps the ones that do not get used.
