when you say nothing is the brain dead. does the led some on.  does the led in the shock sensor come on.

if not check your poser and earth connection and the fuse on the constant 12 V

what car is it?

did you follow a diagram? if so did you test wires before you made connections.  give us a little summary of what you did it'll be quicker for you to get a more accurate answer

You have to program the remote control in order for the system to operate. You need to otggle the ignition switch 5 times FAST within 5 seconds and press the LOCK button on each remote control to program. Start in the OFF position and end in the OFF position.

When I say nothing happens...nothing at all happens....all the wires were tested and so was the siren. We're worried that we were sold an alarm/starter with mixed up components. It has been installed in a 1996 GMC Yukon ( loaded...power everything..automatic) I didn't install it..my husband did.I will have to get some more info from him. ( for the record he has done installs before so this isn't new to him)

Did he program the remote ? The CM3000 CPU is available to alot of different systems but can be incorparated to work as a 2 way system withthe change of the remote controls and antenna. Give us some more information pertaining to the installation and we can help you out more.

she siad she tried to program it.

i'm not familiar with the systems but most system i've dealt with give a chirp or some indication that you have entered programming mode..

she said noth is happening at all.

if all connectios where tesed and fuses i would probabaly say its a bad brain.

Like I said before , Compustar requires the toggling of the ignition to be done FAST. OFF-ON 5 times within 3 secons and then hit the lock button on each remote control.

I have done what was mentioned...toggeling the ignition 5xs and it is supposed to respond with the park lights flashing..no response. My husband also did the same...thats why we new something must be wrong.  Compustar just emailed me and told me that I was sold the CM-3300 which is only an alarm...although A & B sound sold me an alarm/ remote starter. My husband installed it according to the instructions given for an alarm / starter.WHAT a big mess. Now what?????

wondering, doesn't your husband know that alarm isn't an alarm/starter before he install it? it's pretty difficult to get an exchange with A&B Sound. Besides, there's no warranty of exchange with enduser install an alarm system.
