Hi All,

I'm new to this forum , it was the only one I could find with good info on wiring ETC.

I'm currently thinking of wiring my ageing Pirahna MS2 alarm to work my CL in my Impreza(2000), I do have a fair idea of what is involved, the instructions for the alarm are very poor and don't really give you any good clear advice. I have already found the cars CL control box, under the dash to the right hand side of the fuse box. The only problem I am having is identifying the correct coloured cables to connect to on the cl control box.

Will I need a relay for this system or not??

I do have a wiring diagram for a legacy and it would seem that the control is negative switched and just a single wire, is this correct??

Many thanks for any advice or help given

blue/green lock

yellow/red unlock both are NEG(-) in the drivers kick use relays to guarantee a good strong signal.

KarTuneMan,

It would seem that the CL is triggered by a single white wire from the CL control box.

Break the wire = lock

Whilst the wire is set to ground a neg pulse on it unlocks.

I have made up a relay circuit to do this action and as of yet have not been able to fit it to the car, bloody English summer, it's pouring down!!!

Use the type F diagram on page 8 of this door lock guide.

Its all and up now running chaps, fitted it tonight and its a great improvement to the OEM infra red fob jobbieposted_image

It was a single white wire with silver dots on that goes to the CL control box, cut that and the doors lock, reconnect and put a neg pulse on the cable and doors unlock, I made up a relay to the diagrams for the nissan CL. Also on the Subaru you can pick up a constant +12v for the relay from the WHITE/ black stripe cable that also goes to the CL boxposted_image, remember to use a fuse link though, I used a 0.5amp fuse.

Thanks go out to all who helped me with this. Its a great addition.posted_image
