I installed a remote start on a 96 Landcruiser and the head lights come on automatically but they do not turn off automaticaly if I stop the car with the remote transmitter.

It appears that a door must be opened before they will go off. Does anyone know if there is a way to have the head lights go off automatically without having to open a door?

Most remote starters have a rearm wire used to rearm the factory alarm after the remote starter shuts down. Use the rearm wire to trigger the door trigger wire. That happens on newer GM's because of the RAP (retained accessory power) units.

Door Trigger RED / white    -   back of cluster
May also be found RED / blue or white in top of the fuse box in a harness from domelight. Use RED / blue for dome supervision.
