I just installed a IC DYNAMICS RS108. The car cranks but will not start. The hood pin switch is okay, and the car had a theft device on it put was removed. I have no remote with is and there is no sounding alarm from the factory. It will start fine with the key but just crank the three times and stop. I only could find one Ignition wire in the harness. What did I do wrong. Thanks for your help.

Put the key in and turn the Ignition on without starting it. Use your remote starter to try and start it. Does it start? Post back the results.

Did you install an immobilizer bypass?

I'll try that. Thanks

?Even if the car does not have an alarm I still have to put in the by-pass in?

You sure do. The vehicle has several different security features. There is a transponder is the key that the computer has to see during starting. If it does not the fuel system is disabled. There is no way to remove this, you can only bypass it.

The security system you are referring to (that was removed) is like a content theft alarm that is unrelated to the transponder immobilizer. This is a system designed to combat thieves from hot wiring vehicles without a key.

You will not get your remote starter to work until you install a transponder bypass or have your key in the ignition. The bypass is designed to mimick the key being in the ignition. When the start sequence is initiated the computer MUST see the correct key or an equivelant properly programmed bypass.

Okay thank you for all the info. I'll go ahead and order the by-pass.
