Hi,

I am planning on installing a generic/universal door lock actuator on my 94 accord (I'm sure most of you know the 94-97 models had problems with their actuators not sending the proper grounding signal so the lock would constantly try to lock itself 5+ times before it stopped locking).  Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any tips as far as the install is concerned because I know the Accord actuator is physically different (a "box" rather than my universal actuator's  "gun" shape).  So, are there issues as far as wiring or finding the proper length rod or any welding issues I should know about (heck, if I could Crazyglue the actuator to my door panel, I would).  Also, I have an alarm with automatic door locks...is there anything else I should be thinking about before I embark on this project.

Any assistance would be appreciated,

Ruben

You'll need 2 relays to wire your actuators to from your alarm. Most alarm systems aren't strong enough to control the actuators directly. Unless your acuators came in a kit with a control relay and switches. What brand/model is the alarm?
