iam having a problem with a smart window roll up/down module.i have it installed in a 2005 silverado and it does not work. it is definitly wired correctly. windows donot roll up or down, relays in module are clicking, but no action. windows work fine with factory switches. what is the problem? can someone help? and are windows posibly databus controlled? thanks

You cut each wire in two and spliced one side to the switch side and the other to the motor side. Is it possible that your wires are reversed for each window? This would supply power to the switch side each time you were trying to use the roll-ups (you want the motor side) but it would function normally when using the door switch.

You used the following wire colors right?

LF Window up/dn dk. blue - brown   C   LF window switch in door
RF Window up/dn dk. blue - brown   C   RF window switch in door
LR Window up/dn dk. blue - brown   C   LR window switch in door
RR Window up/dn dk. blue - brown   C   RR window switch in door

already tried reversing switch/motor wires, nothing happened.

wire colors used right at the motor in each door

up - - blue +

down - - brown

did you test the wires to see if the module is putting out current

it says in the directions that the module cannot be bench tested. if it was supplying voltage the windows would move. the device is definately wired correctly , ive check it a few times. once it cools down a bit i will get back to it.

i think i just figured out the problem. both wires rest at + not negative. when activated both wires to motor are supplied with + 12v. i tested. and also removed wire that should be - and grounded as i activated module and windows moved. now only problem is to figure out what to do?

This is  Data Link Power Windows.............But they are NOT that difficult
They are Reversal Rest At Ground Type Window Circuit .......
It appears you have a Ground problem or a reversed set of wires

wires do not rest at ground. wires always are 12v + and the negative is switched. when module is activated both wires to each motor are getting positive. i think i figured it out. i ordered dei 530t which works by switching ground. thanks any way.

yeah better of with the 530t so you can set the polarity for the windows.plus it has the resistance swithches in case the window motor sucks and gets stuck it will roll it up.make sure you use two diodes to isolate the starter interrupt relay and window module from each other.good luck.
