 Hi,
I'd like to install A-10 car alarm & keyless entry (unit) myself on my 1998 Ford Windstar 3.0L, 3 doors.
I never installed one before and my knowledge on this stuff is minimum.

The seller I bought the unit from (internet) said that it was easy to do it myself. All I need is the wiring diagram for my Windstar and the installation manual that's included with the unit.

Can anybody please show me the 1998 Windstar wiring diagram ?

In the installation guide, there are some types of door lock diagrams : negative trigger, positive trigger, reserve polarity, etc. How do I know which one to choose ?

This 1998 Windstar is commonly have a problem with door ajar and dome light. Will it be a problem for the function of the unit or even the installation ?

One wire of the unit main harness (orange wire) comes with this following expl. : "armed output (-)500mA. The orange wire provides a ground output while armed to activate an optional starter defeat relay or other device such as power window control module".
Does it mean the installation of this wire is optional ? If not, what should I connect this wire to ?

The rest of the wires have the explanation to what they connect to, except the orange one above.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Chart shows you NEGATIVE Door Locks. I have seen only 1 Windstar out of 10 - 20 installs of this year  with this problem.  ( who knows, maybe the customers never thought it was my fault )
 ORANGE wire is Optional
