I am having problems with a remote start security system (sidewinder 6500 esp) in an '05 superduty diesel. If the alarm is armed and the remote start is activated the alarm will go off when the remote start times out because the dome light kicks on making it think a door has been opened. I tested the door pins to see if i could use those instead of the dome light for the trigger, but they shut down gem style after a short period of time. Any ideas?

Ttry grabbing the BLACK/ blue(+) wire that goes under the driver's seat, i haven't done a remote start on one, but when i do the basic alarms thats what i grab and i don't get any falsing problems.

yeah, i did use the BLACK/ blue wire. the problem is that the ford ignition system turns on the domelight when the ignition is turned off, i.e. when the remote start times out. and the domelight sets off the alarm.

this only happens when the RS times out. so change teh setting up higher. if you dont have a bitwritter can only have 12, 24, and i think 60.
