I have a clifford intelliguard 9000 installed in my car, and it has a programmable turbo timer function in it. I also have the factory install manual & the owners manual. the install manual does not mention at all how it's supposed to be installed yet the owners manual references using it and shows it as a feature. anyone have any idea how to hook this up? Please Help Thanks Waz

It's not the fact that I don't understand the manual because I do! I have installed the alarm and it works fine but it does not mention how to install the turbo Timer. The only way in which I can think of to do it is to use 2 relays and connect them to one of the accessory outputs on the alarm, then set the timer on the alarm to how long I want the relays to be activated for, but I am not sure if i need 1 or 2 relays as the alarm has 2 point immobilisation. I know I would have to keep a positive feed going through the cable which comes from key position number 2, but would I also need to put a relay on the immoblised circuits or would the immobiliser not kick in until the relay from key position number 2 has turned off. Please help Thank You

if it has it as a feature then i would suspect it just puts a pos back through the ign wire via the immob wire have you looked at the keypad chart to see what buttons do what or plug it into cliffnet and check it out if it has the option i will try and find out more on this alarm and let you know i havent fitted this unit yet

It does say in the manual "with the use of an optional relay" so I think I have just goto connect it to the ign wire (after the immob point) and the trigger wire from the alarm to the relay

i just had a look in the user manual and it says that it has a built in circuit but it doesnt say if it goes back trough the immob wire but im not sure that it will now i think that it is just a timed wire that will operate a realy so you will need to wire tha n and with the engine on still you activate the timer then take the key out the engine should still be running and then you can arm your car it does have cliffnet option so you will need to set this up and you made need to relays depending on what vehicle you have if it has 2 ign circuits

ok that's what i thought I think i only need 1 relay as it is a vauxhall (opel)

ok what vauxhall is it done quite a few alarms on them have you got intellistart connected

No i do not have intellistart (probably a future investment though) , it is a vauxhall calibra

I can't seem to find a 40A SPDT relay but i can find a 40A SPCO relay would this be ok to use for the turbo timer. Also what is the difference between SPDT & SPCO. Please reply Thanks again
