I'm trying to figure out how I can integrate some of the wiring from a factory alarm my car used to have into a new aftermarket one. I've found wires for the horn and parking lights that each show 12V then drop to 0V when the switch is on. This would be considered showing ground when the switch is on, right? So should I connect these wires to the new alarm wires that output a ground when it wants these acessories on?

It's a '96 mazda miata, but don't go by any published wiring diagrams on it, because the alarm is dealer installed and you won't find it in any diagram. I just want to know if running these wires to the negative outputs on the alarm will make the acessories work like they should.

your dealer alarm may have been fused, if he/she did it right it will. if for soem reason your alarm stops working for what ever reason you may have to find the fuse soem were on the dealer alarm. skip the future head achs and skip the dealer thing all togheter.
