Ok hear is the problem, My girlfriends car is a 95 saturn cl or sl. I installed a 791xv and everything works great but the only problem was that i could not find the door trigger so i grabed the dome light. but the only problem with that is that you can not arm the alarm until the light goes off because it stays on for 30 sec and obiousley holds a 12v signal. any suggestions or can someone tell me where the wire is, I know its behind the trigger but i cant find it. i know it sounds stupid but i cant, it should be a white wire but so is the dome light. i dont know what to do but the wait time is dumb.

The door trigger wire is WHITE (-) and you can find it in a taped up harness under ashtray - one of three white wires - test to identify.

Once the domelight delay goes off then the alarm will automatically set the door triggers. When the domelight is off the wire will read 12v. When the any door is opened the domelight comes back on and the wire will read ground. Make sure you are using the green (-) trigger input wire from the 791, arm the system and wait a few seconds after the domelight turns off with all doors closed, then check your door triggers. Hope this helps.

infoaudio said it just right. That is exactley what i have done at the moment but when i arm the system when i close the door it sends me the zone trigger alert. the alarm does not go off but it is not cool when you do every time. You are saying that is the door trigger not the dome flight correct?

Just go into the 791's programming and turn off that extra chrip that you get.
They call it "open zone notification" or something like that----it's designed to remind you that you forgot to close your door.
If you don't think you're going to forget to close the door before you leave the car, just turn that feature off and all will be fine.
