Hi guys - I have installed a Compustar 2-Way alarm in this 04 Chev pu using the Gm Data All interphase. This is the 5th one i installed this month. I have been using the door trigger output from the module to the alarm with no problems until the last one. Just curious if anyone has had any problems with the Data All. If not, i will most likely have to diode isolate all 4 door trigger wires.
Thanls Rick
The databus modules will ONLY catch the door(s) that have an electronic door module inside that particular door.
Escalade, Avalance, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon----they have modules in the two front doors only, so that's all you'll catch off the databus.
Loaded pickups with power equipment will have modules in the two front doors as well.
Stripped-down pickups with power nothing (or only power locks but no windows) do not have door modules at all; databus won't do anything for you.

You said you wanted to get the individual doorpins and diode-isolate them? That won't be fun. For the doors equipped with a module, the doorlatch trigger is ONLY available inside the door------meaning you'd have to run wires into both front doors.
-------------------------------------------
There's a harness that runs behind the OBDII diagnostic plug, then up past the fusebox and up the A-pillar to the headliner.
You can catch the domelight wire as gray/black, positive trigger. That'll get all the doors. But remind your customer not to disable the domelight----that'll disable your door trigger too.
P.S. On pickups (but not SUVs) you can get brake as light blue in that same harness.
