I just installed a remote start on my 2003 Toyota Matrix which uses the factory keyless entry to activate starting.  Unfortunately, the factory keyless entry will not operate while the car is running.  Does anyone know a way around this?  The car does not have an OEM alarm, so I'm hoping its just a matter of disconnecting the ignition sense wire to the keyless entry module.  Schematics and module location would be very helpful if anyone has them.  TIA

why dont you just interface the remote starter to operate the locks and be done with it?

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

As I mentioned in my first post, I have a system that relies on use of the factory remotes to start the vehicle.  In retrospect, I should have purchased a unit that does everything.  I think I have found the location of the factory  keyless enty module.   Its located in the passenger side upper rear quarter panel, by the hatch.  My brother works at a Pontiac dealership and was able to pull the location drawing from the Vibe.  He also was able to get a wiring schematic, buts its pretty vague.  It only shows five wires coming out of the module.  Thoughts?
