Hey guys I've got a client who wants an alarm w/ keyless entry put on his 1999 bmw m3. I've done alarms/remote starts on american vehicles and japanese vehicles, but I've pretty much shyed away from German cars because I've heard theyre pains, but I figured since this guy only wants alarm and keyless maybe i'd give it a shot. Are german cars really that much are harder to wire than other cars? Also directechs doesnt list a m3 wiring diagram im not sure if it would be considered a "3 series" vehicle, i thought the "m" series would have their own section so if anybody could help me out with a wire diagram, or problems to look out for that'd be great.

The M is not any different for eletrical systems than the normal 3 Series. The main difference is the badging and the mechanical upgrades between those tow trims. BMW's fit and finish is very tight so when you start taking panels apart to get to the dash it will take you a while to remove the panels ( in comparison to a demestic or import ). Take the time and slowly pull panles apart where needed.

i like the 3 series. Just did a 2000 about 2 weeks ago. Take out the glovebox and every single connection you need is back there.
