Hi All,
I'm newbie of this Web site. i try to Install the remote, starter for my 1994 Toyota corolla. In the Installation guide show me " Orange : connect to a 30 Amp. Relay for starter kill (-) output." My question is:
1/ How to make starter kill? what part do I need to buy?
2/ I looked in diagram it show need diode 1 Amp. between 86 - 85 lead. What the voltage need? I checked at RShack have several voltage 50V.100V,..... What Voltage I need for diode?
3/ Could anyone show me wiring diagram Instruction for Stater kill .
I have some knowledge w/ basic car wiring and this is first time try to DIY.
Any input will be appreciated.
This link will answer all three of your questions. You can get pre-wired diodes relays at most electronic stores :

ThanksJeff for your help ,
I looked at basic starter kill , it show the lead 86 " to ign.12V (+)" where it connect to ? and I bough the relay 20/30 Amp, and ask for diode. The Tech told me I don't need the diode. Is this right ?
yeah thats right some relays come with diodes, but make sure the 12 volt possitive is on 86...

Use the BLACK / YELLOW wire from the ignition harness for the switched ignition wire for the relay.

Thanks again Jeff,
One more question: The lead 30 need to connect to starter wire from ign. switch Or have to connect to starter solenoid?
30 goes to the starter solenoid side of the cut starter wire.
