Key ON = Ignition Switch
Relay? ... If you mean Starter Kill Relay:
You would locate your Starter wire ( Usually at Ignition Switch )
Cut in Half
Cut half that goes to Starter goes to one side of Relay
Other cut half that goes to Ignition goes to other side of Relay

1997, i have a few manuals, all the other things i installed it using some manuals, and old alarm wires. but cant figure the starter kill relay option.

i was thinking abt install another alarm that come with engine starter but looks very complicated for the first time, so i choice this model of alarm without that option.. btw.. is not an simple one :D

im really bery happy with my instalation (will looks better after i hide all the wires), i have all the wires trough the seats :D

well hope you understand my english

Thanks

Locate the wire in the ignition switch harness (bundle of heavier gauge wires coming off the key) that shows 12V only during cranking, this is ur starter wire...

Set ur relay like this:
85 - starter kill/ground when armed wire from alarm
87A - Motor side of cut starter wire
(Jump a wire from 30 to 86)
86 - Key side of cut starter wire
1N4001 Diode across coil (85 and 86) Band side of diode facing 86.

"Key On" is the wire that shows 12V only during cranking ?

No, when the key is "on" the starter wire will not show 12V, only ign wires will...it's like this:

Constant wires show 12v all the time
Ign wires show 12V when key is on and during cranking
Acc wires show 12V only when key is in acc position
Starer wires show 12V only during cranking

So when u turn the key all the way forward and the car begins to crank, the wire that shows you 12V only during this time, is starter.

well, tellme if everything is ok...

"Key On" Show me 12V everytime.

"Starter wire" only show 12V when the car are cranking, its the wire that i need to use for the Starter Kill Relay

Right?

Yes..........When you Turn the key to crank, you will have a couple of wires that will show 12volts + as you hold the key to the crank position.  Cut the starter wire in half.

well, i have the relay installed (like it say in the manual, without the diode)

ill show you how i installed it.

Pin 30 and 86 Together.

Pin 30 to the Key On.

Pin 85 To Car Alarm Gnd Signal.

Pin 87A to key Ignition

is that not good connection?

i test the anti-hijack function but dont work correctly (or at least dont work like i think that need to work)

if robbery happend and the car is on, dont will turn off the engine with that mode?

the relay just work if i press the antijack function before turn on the car.

once the car is on, dont work

someone know if thats normal? or something happend?

THanks

well, maybe its working, but this just dont let start the engine once that the antijacked is ON. i really dont like that, would be better to stop the engine instead just dont let restart it.

You need to locate te power wire which goes to the ignition coil. Conect the 87A to the coil side and the 30 to the power side. Just as your diagram shows. This will stop your engine when the relay is energized.

well, its how i have my alarm wired, but just work when i try to start the motor.

its normal?

is not possible to stop the car or something like that? is not too useful (i think) if i need to activate the antijack before tha guy turn on the car.
