Ford 2002 F350 Diesel
I am having issues with the remote start portion of the Autopage 750. The remote start functions properly up until the starter engages, once that happens the whole system seems to shut down. The remote start only seems to 'bump' the starter and not actually attempt to start the vehicle.
I have diode isolated the (4) door contacts, the hood pin, and one other (-) input. Furthermore I tried to relay isolating the r-starter wire off the remote. The safety inputs all work properly (brake, hood, only works in neutral, park, etc.) In programming mode it says it did learn the tach. although not positive on this. I've tried an extra brain unit so I know that's not the problem. I have made sure that the all supply lines are CONSTANT 12 volts even in the crank postion and grounds are proper.
The only thing I can surmise is that once the remote start engages the starter, I can hear relays from the VSM or GEM module actuating or chattering. This all happens so fast it's difficult to tell whats going on.
Also I have tried the other starting methods and the same event happens no matter if I use voltage or timer start.
My guess is that one of the safety inputs is triggered by the actual r-starter output. Does anyone have any ideas?
One last thing I am confused about the Ignition wires and the Heater wires. Autopage wants wires that have 12 volts in run and crank for ignition and run and acc. for heater. 2 of my wires are hot only in the run position where should I put them? Most wire charts say to put them in IGN1,2,3 although a couple split them having IGN1,2 and ACC1,2. I just don't understand the difference or the importance between them. I am not an installer so I have no access to directfax, maid, or any other assistance.
Any help I would greatly appreciate.

make sure you have either grounded the black / white wire on the 8 oin black connector without this connected the unit will not start
