I've just finished installing my new alarm system (855), and my remote start will not work because my car has a immobilizer system(3rd ign./Transponder)/ [1997 Honda Prelude]. In the manual it told me to build a relay. Following all instructions the relay still fails to copy the key, or bypass the system. I do not wish to buy an external module because of financial and pride issues ;). I have taken the trim off of the ignition switch and there lies the heart of the transponder system. On a seperate connector is a 2 pin connectector. There are 2 wires that seemingly control the whole deal (that sends the output from the circuit board inside the trim). There is an orange wire and a white wire. The white wire will not respond even if the key is next to it if I have a ground on it (i.e. test light). The orange wire is impartial to having a ground. I have tried disconnecting one of the wires (no luck), I have tried connecting the two wires (no luck as well). Neither of the wires show a power signal, even when the key is on, or the engine is cranking. My only other thought would be to connect the white wire to a constant 12v, but I worry of the consequenses. Anyone that thinks they can help with wiring advice please reply. Thanks.

No one? Have to build the relay? Have to use a key with coding to bypass immobilizer and basically disable it? lol.

Alright, ill get the unit when I get the chance. For now I guess I'll just hide the key close to the system in tape so I can still use the remote start and have a key. Thx for the advice.
