i have never installed a car alarm before...

ok i have the wiring for the car that i found here. https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=23890

that is the wiring diagram i recieved with my alarm... my questions are.

the backwards ignition coil from 87a(lol) - where does that go?
IGNITION 1      PINK ?

were does the thick yellow from 87 go?
12 VOLTS CONSTANT      RED?

where does ACC (i/p +) from 86 go?
STARTER      YELLOW?

where is the ignition harness?
that relay that they gave me with the alarm system, where should i put it?

i tapped the orange wire for the brake... i guess i have to change it to the white

i have already diode isolated the doors, and i am 99% sure i did that correct.

now for the two white wires for the hazard lights this is what i did. i tapped a light blue wire and a dark blue one from the harness at the steering column that goes to the turn signal lever. i connected one white wire to the lt. blue, and i connected the other white wire to the dk. blue. did i do that wrong?

please help, i have been trying to do this for days and the people at the jbody.org forum who only have these cars were the most ignorant people i ever encountered on a forum. thanks.

forget about the other forums theres nothing like the 12volt.com. its weird that your starter relay kill does not have a #30 pin, your relay should be wired like this,  87a to ignition side of starter, 87 has no connection, 85 is your alarms input, 30 goes to starter side, and 86 goes to 12volts when the key is in the start and run position only.

your  ignition harness runs along the steering column.

they call them hazzard lights but theyre your parking lights. you can get this wire at the fuse block. ill get back to you on what color wire to look for.

looks like your parking light wire is brown.

starter wire is yellow.

ignition wire is pink.

you can wire both white wires from the alarm together and wire them to your brown parking light wire.

really? i thought the brown wire was kind of like a ground for all the lights. i want the turn signals to flash if the alarm goes off (left, right, rear, and front turn signals). i have a haynes manual that has a schematic of the wiring. maybe i'll get a scan and post it.

starter wire is yellow.

ignition wire is pink.

but where on the realy do i connect?

starter wire (yellow) goes to my 86 pin?
ignition wire (pink) goes my 87a?
red battery + wire goes to my 87 pin?

cut you starter wire(yellow),connect the key side to pin#87a,starter side goes to #30, orange wire from alarm to #85, #86 receives 12 volts at crank, you can tap into the key side of the starter wire (yellow).thats it.check out the diagrams on starter kills in this site so you know and understand what im telling you.

please tell me youre using a multimeter to find your wires.

did the relay come pre wired? pin#87 and #87a say thick yellow. were these "thick yellow" wires pre wired into the relay when you got it?

we might be looking at something else other than a starter kill relay. since the relay is missing pin #30. cant make out what it says at the end of "thick yellow" from pin #87a.

i have a digital multimeter. but i dont know how to use it, lol. maybe some suggestions on that? do i set it to volts then make sure the battery is connected? so many settings it kind of confuses me for what exactly im looking for. i took a class in highschool for electronics (dont remember some of it) lol.

it is a no name "option group" alarm that i got for free. i took it cause it was brand new.

it says "ignition coil" backwards from pin 87a. its a cheap alarm what can i say, even the manual has some typos. posted_image
