The siren sounds really really really muted only when arming and  disarming.... Sounds fine when set off....Any suggestions??

diable the soft chirp function by cutting one of the wire loops on the back of the siren.  At least thats how it works with the 514n siren.  Not sure which wire loop it is though.

The thing is...I've had this alarm installed for about 1 1/2 -2 years, and it never was silent....

cool thanks...i'll try it out....Also, I need a new Remote for the system...Now can i buy the remote and is it easy too program to it...?
