I'm trying to program an Omega bypass module for remote start and am having no luck (surprise, surprise). It seems like the car is not going into program mode. I followed the procedure that came with the module and tried every other combination I could think of.
If anyone knows what the correct procedue is for sure, please let me know.

Which OMEGA ByPass are U using?
If it is a Transponder ByPass,  Not all Galants came with Transponder

The Galant I was working on had a transponder system or else I wouldn't have beedn able to wrao the antennae wire around the reciever.
The unit was an IB-umit by Omega. The program sequence given with the unit was. First key on and hold 5 seconds. Turn second key on and hold seven seconds. power primary ignition wire and hold bypass module to reciever for seven seconds or until security light comes on and then goes off.
This procedure was not correct. I talked to the mental giant at tech support and he had no idea. ( said to call Mitsubisi!)
If anyone can help please let me know.

If U are using the OMEGA IB-PKU-MIT .........Good Luck.
It is my understanding that it will only work with '02 & up ByPass for Galant.
If you are going to try & program again, be sure and hold unit to Ignition Switch with the little hole in the IB-PKU facing the Switch
You probably would be better off with the PASS-4 and lose a key
