what do you guys think about this new alarm from scytek, it captures videos and stores them in the memory and send them to the remote.

i noticed stores are starting to get them and its on ebay now too, for $400 i think its a good deal.

i had the true color scytek alarm in my bmw and it was pretty good, i think this is next big thing. this takes car alarms to a new level.

i get them for about $360 for my supplier Not an ebay shop

i don't mind scytek alarms i think they are pretty good i haven't had any problems. but i don't think this would be good.  the alarm would be the same and is the same as the 5100RS  the camera and quality of the picture on the pager i can't see being very good. i think its more of a gimic unless someone steals your car in the middle of the day.

from looking at the old pager i just can't see it working great.. nice idea though..

all this is my opinion i haven't actually done one of these yet. so if anyone has one and would like to prove me wrong thats fine. I wouldn 't mind some input from an installer with hands on experience with it

yeah camera is included but cant seem to take a night pic,  although it does say it is night vision and has 5 or 6 led's around the camera.

Also the antenna and camera are one so it is a bit bulky.

I got mine partially installed last week, but it would not remote start. The installer called the manufactuer Scytek, after spending 10 hours trying to install it, and they claimed that mine was the first one they had that was programmed for manual transmission and finally admitted that it was programmed wrong. They are suppose to mail me a new chip with correct programming, but I haven't got it yet. The other annoying thing about it is that if you don't arm it the led stays on constantly! The manufacturers tech guy, Moti, says that is part of the diagnostics that show the e brake is on. When I checked it later with the e brake off, it did the same thing. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens next.
