once i had asked if you can remove your ecu (brain) from your car to make it harder to steal . the reply i got was that every time you disconnect the ecu , it will have to re-learn when the car starts- this makes sense to me .

but now i come across other people putting kill on the power line going to the ecu .- wouldn't this be the same as disconnecting the ecu and if not , wouldn't pulling the battery poles off do the same because in all 3 ,you remove power from the ecu .

i'm thinking about putting a kill on the power line to the ecu ....

you will have the same problem i have never seen anyone do this to the ecu way too risky , cause it might work and all of a sudden go out . then your screwed if the customer has an accident.
