Dodge Ram Major Problems

Allright go ahead and laugh at the newbie.  I deserve it.  Man/Woman (not to be sexist) everything was going great.  I had my alarm working.  Everything was hidden.  The alarm worked, except for the domelight supervision.  But, I go to drive off and my A/C blower doesn't work.  Then my ABS and Air Bag lights come on.  Then I find out my speedo and odometer aren't working.  Suffice to say I am not having a good day. 

Has anyone seen this before???

I have tested the blower motor for voltage and at rest (switch off) I get 12V (switch on) I get .03V/nothing. 

I am laughing at myself and feeling really bad about not spending the money to have someone else do it. 

Any words of encouragement for this poor college student?

Hey CR, this is the alarm only system that you installed ( the Excalibur ) so you shouldn't have had to tap into the HVAC blower circuit at all. Can you please post all the wires that you used in your installation and we will be able to trouble shoot the problem for you better with this information. If you have a problem with the wiring, this will help. Aside from this, did you solder your connections and make sure that the conenctions were well tapped with electrical tape ?

It sounds like you blew a main ignition fuse. Check the box/anl fuses under the hood.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

Alright,  the system is the Excalibur ATV-1000. No remote start.  No keyless entry.  I have checked all the fuses under the hood and in the cab.  I will double check them tonight, though.  A fuse was my first thought too. 

Yes, I have soldered everything and heat shrinked it as best as I could.  Now, I do know that when cutting one of the wires it touched my frame and did spark.  Leading to the fuse again.  

Constant 12 volts	RED
Ignition 12 volts	D BLUE
Starter	YELLOW
Dome Light	YELLOW (-)
Parking Lamp	BLACK / YELLOW (+)

Those are the wires that I have cut into.  I also cut the pk/bk and bk/pk on the ignition harness because I lost my train of thought (short train).  However, I did solder them back.  I grounded everything out to the unpainted metal there under the steering wheel kick panel, the area that I sparked the wire on.

I will double check the fuses tonight and let you know.

ATV-1000 has got a few Extra wires U won't need..................
Not that difficult to install...................
You posted the wires that are in the Dodge, but you didn't post what wires from the ATV-1000 are hooked to them..........
Go with AUEX suggestion first...........

Whoa there, the pk/black that you cut is a constant power for the ignition as well. Triple check that wire to make sure that your connection is good.

auex: I don't have a constant 12V on the pk/bk wire.  Should I have 12V at all time or only when cranking?

Any idea why my dome light won't flash when disarming the system?

In my frustration last night I visually looked at the fuses, didn't test ALL of them.  Found another fuse that went bad.  2 bucks and my problems were solved.  Thanks for everyone's help. 

In light of forgetting to disconnect the negative battery terminal, is there someone that could make a top ten list of things to do before an install.  Maybe a list of obvious things to the pros but things that maybe a novice wouldn't think of.  Or maybe there exists a list I just haven't seen it yet.  I just thought that it couldn't hurt anything to leave it connected; little did I know.
