Does anyone have any clue why some wiring diagrams say "DO NOT wire to the +12V parking light wire" on this vehicle?  The unit that I am installing has a (+) output for the parking lights, and I really don't want to install a relay to change this to (-).

theres usually no rhyme or reason why cadillac does half the shi* they do in their cars. I've always just used the neg. trigger and been done with it.

Notes from DEI:
The parking lamp relay is located in the trunk compartment #2 micro relay center behind the rear seat. There is a brown in the drivers kick panel that will test as a parking light wire, but will cause a back feeding problem through the fuse box, and is therefore not recommended.

I guess I will just do the (-) trigger thing.  Thanks for the input.
