the valet switch allows you to disarm the alarm (when used in conjunction with the ign key) should you lose the transmitter, also from the sounds of it it allows you to change programming features......

VALET SWITCH:

On most Alarms the Valet switch is used to By Pass the Alarm & usually the sensors & some remote Starts.  But allow the user to continue to Lock / Unlock with the remotes.
Also the VALET SWITCH is used to Program different Features available on the Alarm.  Or program additional remotes.
Also used to Disarm Alarm if Remote is not available or broken.

If you don't have anything to figure it out, and don't know what most of the functions do, then you probably should take the alarm to someone who can install it right and then you can enjoy your alarm without the problems.

Also take a look at your posts before you submit them, you need to spellcheck some things so people know what you're talking about.

Yes that is one of my best qualities, but seriously on the spellcheck part.  I wish I had some useful information to give, but I couldn't resist the urge to say something anyway.
