I have a 2004 2500 HD Chevy Duramax.

Have instaled the Viper 791XV with the DEI 457G.

I have done the programming to the 457G.

The doors do not lock or unlock.

Tryed it with & without the diode on the black ground wire. No change.

I have the dome light wire connected.

Also checked another 457G same problem.

The system remote starts fine.

What am I missing ?

Oh yes I have the wire connected to pin 2 of the diagnostic plug.

Try getting your power and ground for the 457G at the diagnostic plug as well. This was about the only thing that got it to work in a GM truck for me.

Thanks Gus, I have rewired the 457G as you said. Both ground & power from the diagnostic plug.

NO change posted_image. Remote starts fine, No Lock or UnLock. Also no trigger after the door is opened.

I am almost to the point of ripping it all out and throwing it in the trash posted_image

Did you verify if PIN 2 was Purple wire at OBD Connector?
Also have you tried Lock / Unlock with doors closed & Key out of ignition

Yep have tryed eveything with the doors shut keys out.

The Viper will remote start the vehicle fine, just Lock / unlock function not working ?

Are you sure your RED wire has CONSTANT power.  Even when the Doors are shut

The red (+12) wire going into the 457G ?

The red (+12) wire going into the 457G has power all the time even with the doors shut.

I may have something wired wrong, as if i use the Viper remote to lock the doors, I get the "beep" feedback from the Viper. However the dash lights flash. When I use the factory key fob to lock I do not get the dash light flash.

Tomorrow I will retrace all my connections. kind of start over ?
