Excellent site here folks.  I’m finally getting around the installation of my 564T & 457G into my 2005 GMC Envoy, but I first have a few questions.
  1. When using the extreme capacity satellite relay, the remote start ribbon harness connects directly from the 564T to the relay. However, the XCRS still has a 4 pin connector unused… is it required? If so, for what?
  2. Is it correct to say that since I’m using the 457G, the auxiliary harness H2 from the 564T is not required?
  3. Is it correct to say that the ignition harness wiring (3 wire) of the 457G is not required since my vehicle is not a Cadillac?
  4. The vehicle specific wiring info lists "Keysence", but I don't see where this would connect with my 564T or 457G. Is this connection required?
  5. Please confirm the following wiring:
    • Blue of 457G to blue of 564T door lock harness
    • Light green of 457G to green of 564T door lock harness
    • Blue/white of 457G to blue/white of 564T H3
    • Green of 457G to green of 564T H1

Thanks for your help

"When using the extreme capacity satellite relay, the remote start ribbon harness connects directly from the 564T to the relay. However, the XCRS still has a 4 pin connector unused… is it required? If so, for what?"

Its for adding additional ignition, accessory and starter relays. Not needed for your vehicle.

"Is it correct to say that since I’m using the 457G, the auxiliary harness H2 from the 564T is not required?"

Nothing in the H2 harness is required for your vehicle.

"Is it correct to say that the ignition harness wiring (3 wire) of the 457G is not required since my vehicle is not a Cadillac?"

Correct.

"The vehicle specific wiring info lists "Keysence", but I don't see where this would connect with my 564T or 457G. Is this connection required? "

Not required.

"Please confirm the following wiring:
Blue of 457G to blue of 564T door lock harness
Light green of 457G to green of 564T door lock harness
Blue/white of 457G to blue/white of 564T H3
Green of 457G to green of 564T H1"

Correct, also the grey/black from the 457G needs to go to the grey/black wire that goes to the domelight in the vehicle. You should be able to find that wire in the drivers A-Pillar. Tech sheet says under rear seat, but it can be found many other places.

Personally, I would run a wire into each front door and under the rear seat and get the door trigger wires there. Disabling the domelight with the switch next to the headlight switch also prevents the alarm from seeing a door open. If you use this method, the green and grey/black wires on the 457g won't be used.

"Thanks for your help"

No problem.

JWorm, I appreciate the quick response.  It's nice to get a bit of confirmation before proceeding with the install.  It looks like I'm on the right track, but I have a question in regard to your last point.

I believe that the advantages of your suggested triggering method  are: No alarm set delay (due to dome light), and eliminate possible headlight switch overide.  Makes sense.

So, if I collect the door trigger wires (isolate with diodes - cathode to door side), this signal would go directly to the green of 564T H1.  This trigger would then take the place of the 457G green. Also, the dome grey/black would not be necessary. Correct?

Thanks again
