I have just install a scytek galaxy 5000 alarm on my car and one thing i notice is that when i hit the remote start buttom. Most of the time it doesnt catch and the engine doesnt start. but all the other electricity stuff comes on. I'll changed the batteries and tried it again and i'll notice the remote start only catched while im inside the car. But that defects the purpose of having one i it only start inside teh car. So what have i done wrong

What kind of car is this ? Need the amke, model & year. Did you use a immobilizer bypass module ?

i dont have a chip in my key but the car is a 97 explorer

According to some of my information, some Explorer's came with the PAT system. If your vehicle did not come with this, then try this........ place the key into the ignition and remote start the vehicle. If it starts all the time, then you have PATS.

If it starts sometimes than it is not PATS !! I would adjust the crank time up or hook up the tach wire. Fords take longer of a crank to start.
