i have a 1996 toyota tacoma 4wd.  I had a Viper 350HV installed and had the optional tilt sensor installed at the same time.

I have noticed my alarm will go off some times when i park on an inclined surface.  The parking lot at my girlfriends place is steep.. and the truck sat today for like 4 hours, and suddenly started to go off.

i know there was nobody around.  Its behind an appartment building so theres no loud or rough traffic.

I am curious if the tilt sensor can go off.. due to excessive grade in a parking spot?

the guy at the dealer just said it goes off if the truck moves more then 5degrees

but.. is that a RELATIVE or from FLAT?

Thanks.. a dumb newbie.

excessive slopes will trigger it and on flat surfaces it will trigger when you jack it up to an angle. petrsonnaly i hate tilt sensors if someone takes the time to jack up your vehicle rest assure they will take it alarm or no alarm.
