this is my third time posting this question some how it wont post. ive been trying to open up a file for an alarm i was looking for but i would get an error message saying i wasnt authorized to view this file because of the credentials ive supplied.?. the odd thing is that it also happens over at directechs web site where i also have access to files and information. it has also happened when i click on a link when answerin a post here at the12volts. even on ebay. what gives. any ideas?

Have you cleared cookies and temporary internet files? Try posting this in Forum Help and How To. I am sure The12Volt can help but him getting online may have issues due to his location.

It's probably a cookie problem.

What is the exact error message word for word?

what i get is and i quote, you may noy have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied. http error 403 forbidden, now im not getting post notifications from the12volt.com. ill post it in the help forum to see if i can get help, thanks. any ideas?

What browser are you using? Are you using a third party firewall or any program that blocks cookies? With regards to forum post notifications, we are on a temporary server since Katrina took ours down and are still configuring it.

getting the notifications is the least of my problems, i posted, or at least i thought it had posted, over at the help forum but it didnt. thats cool though under the circumstancesi think we all understand. i will check the firewall configurations see if thats the problem. thanks. our prayers are with the victims of hurricane katrina.
