I am having trouble making my starter interupt work, I have an impulse 777..anyway I use the output from the alarm when its armed it gives a ground, so that I connect to 85 then I connect 86 to the ignition and 87a to the key side and 30 to the starter side, still for some reason the car will start and same when I tried flipping 87a and 30..which should do nothing anyway, then i figured I just dont have a good enough ground, so I ran another relay to make a better ground, still I had the same problem..any suggestions?

SPDT Relay
1 or 2 amp Diode across PIN 86 & PIN 85 with stripe facing PIN 86

Cut Starter wire in half:

PIN 86 & 30  = Ignition switch half of cut wire
PIN 87a  = Starter side of cut wire
PIN 85 = Negative Output from Alarm while Armed
