I am looking to wire in a fuel pump kill switch. Do I use a relay or can I just cut the wire and install the toggle switch? The car is an acura and I have read that there is a relay somewhere and can just use the switch. Also, is an alarm needed for the starter kill switch? I appreciate the help.

you should use a relay, look on the left under starter interrupts for a diagram.

Disabling your fuel or ignition system is dangerous and not recomended. Normaly a security system interrupts the starter wire to prevent the starter from truning. Directed Electronics makes a remote control system that is designed to do what you want. The info below is from the DEI site. This thing replaces your factory fuel, starter, or ignition relay (depending on the application). You will have to get this from you local DEI dealer.

The Automate® Smart Starter Kill Relay (SSKR) is

a self-contained anti-theft system that is easy to

install. The RF receiver, mini CPU and vehicle

immobilizer circuitry are all contained into one

miniature package. The SSKR utilizes automotive

grade components for quality and high reliability.
