Hello, I have a simple question to ask about these new vehicles. I've been hearing that each key has their own memory for the driver's seat. How true is this? Is that something the dealers are telling people? I've been away from the alarm installation business for a little while. (concentrating on customizing) I've heard this from a friend who has a Acura 3.2 (2001) and I'm rehearing this from a customer that needs a remote starter in a GMC Denali Envoy. (I need a wiring diagram for this vehicle)If any one has info about this please enlighten me a little.
Also, the same person who needs this remote start had a Cadillac Escalade with the same same set up. He claims that the installer didnt do it right and that the memory is working for only one key. Maybe I can try to fix that problem. Any input will be good.

Please let me know. It is a complete mystery to me. Has anyone had any complaints installing in any of the vehicles?

I've never had a complaint about it; but the newest GM's with power seats with memory do have this feature.  If you look on the back of the factory remotes that come with a new vehicle one is labeled 1 and the other has a 2.  If you program the seat position; it will be specific, depending on which remote you use to unlock the vehicle.  DEI has a similar feature on their python and viper alarms; not sure if clifford offers it.  But I have not had experience with integrating the remote-specific features with the factory memory seats.
