Alrite ive got around $2,000 worth of stereo equipment inside my car and i need a car alarm. I have a 98 expedition and im pretty sure i wanna go with a remote start system. Ive seen the viper 791xv but its so expensive. Im thinking about buying that one. I wanna go a little cheaper but still an alarm thats not gonna mess up on me. I need some good ideas. If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

If i had that much expensive equipment ,which i do i would not  go cheap on on alarm.I have a 3.5 clifford matrix, added a 508d and a stand alone black jack system and fully confident my equipment is safe, so buy a good alarm posted_image

So u think i should bite the nail and pay $250 shipped for a viper 791xv? Then pay $100 to have it installed? I can afford it but its gonna be one of the last things i do to my truck. Any more info would be greatly appreciated thankyou.

i thingk the camera on the scytek systems is a bit gimicy  i would go with one of there alarms..

but if i had that stuff in the car i would want black jacks  so i´d say go with the avantguard 5  or one of teh cliffors with blackjacks built in

Blackjax system is a anti carjack feature by clifford that in the event ur car gets jacked from you at a light or somenthing,ur special code has to be entered either after the brake pedal has been depressed for a certain time,or the dorr has opened while the car is on..

oh, that sounds pretty cool. the only thing is that it seems that it might be more trouble than it's worth to me.

It's not alot of trouble. You'll get into the habit. You can enable and disable the blackjax when you feel you need and don't need to use it..I am a firm believer in DEI,especially their clifford line.
