I'm about to install a Autopage RS855 LCD into a 1987 supra with the toyota theft deterrant system, it also has a starter kill relay.

I'm planning on just cutting the wires i need out of the wire harness to the factory alarm, and then running my own wires for whatever else i need.

Or would it be better to leave the alarm intact and have the rs855 bypass it? if so how do i do that

Thanks in advance

To be more clear, if using the wires out of the harness i would be disconnecting the factory alarm entirely

If the Factory Alarm is working, why Unhook it??
Just hook in the RS855 to the Factory Arm & Disarm wires

Anyways, its great to have another wiring diagram to check against, thanks for the help guys :)

The alarm should arrive tomorrow morning, so hopefully all will go well!

Ok, so at first i grabbed the wrong blue/black wire for the doorlocks, i didn't realize there were to blue/blacks in the same harness, i grabbed the thick one, later fixed it to the skinny one.

Now i'm struggling to get the remote smart working, the transmitter just beeps at me, even though i've tried to program it for voltage check type, (havent hooked up tach yet) And there were a million green wires in the driver kick panel for the parking light, so i hooked it up to the green wire coming off the switch on my steering column. I can hear relays clicking on and off but no light, and my blinkers won't work at all anymore, won't flash or anything.   The weird thing is my turn fuse is fine, could i have blown out the flasher module?

Yeah, well i dont have one available at the moment, i'll buy one later today if i absolutely need to, but i'm getting alot closer to figuring it out.

I tried wiring it to wire 14 in the upper right, and it did flash the lights, but kinda weird, and the horn honked too...

Ok, i have a voltmeter now, but i'm still struggling with what to do, i had my father (electrical engineer, makes dmm's for a living) look at the wiring diagrams, and the car, we still could not locate a good parking light wire.
