I installed a model 4300  in a 98 ford E150 and for the life of me can`t get the power locks to work. I had a old audiovox sytem in it before in which I had to cut the red and the brown wire. The new sytem has a 200ma reversing 12 volt output. Do I just reconnect the red and brown and hook the 2 wires from the alarm to it?  I tried it both ways and nothing. do I need a relay? It did say on the box that additional components may be needed for door locks. I used to install these things many moons ago and im a little out of touch with these new systems. Thanks in advance for any help.  Mark

Could you old Audiovox have built in Relays??
If the vehicle did NOT have Factory Keyless, you will need 2 SPDT Relays

Power LockRED8 PIN GRAY CONNECTOR
Power UnlockBROWNIN DRIVER KICK PANEL

Without OEM Keyless Entry Door Locks MUST BE TESTED FROM PASSENGER SWITCH!!
Without OEM Keyless.... Reversal Rest At Ground Door Locks .
With OEM Keyless ....Positive Pulse Door Locks

It did have atleast 1 relay but its hard to tell what that circuit looks like. I did a seach but I think I still need the module from Directed with the relays to solve the problem. My van did not have the keyless entry so its off to the store to get what I need. Thank you so much for the quick responce. This truly is a great site, Thanks
