I'm installing a coolant heater that I want to operate by remote. Here's what I'd like to do:
1. From 2-button remote, click on to send a 100mA signal (constant on) to the heater.
2. Click off to turn off this signal, shutting off the heater.
3. I would prefer to use the same button on the remote for on-off. That leaves me the other one to power another heater in the truck (cabin).
So, all I need is a remote and a receiver to generate the signals.
Any help appreciated.

OMEGA made or makes a REC 43-T: 2 Button
Can be programmed for timed output adjustable from .2 to 30 seconds
Also, Latched Output, or for as long as U hold the Transmitter Button Also MICRO makes a 12 Channel 4 Button.......... ------------- MO

OK, looks like the Omega is the one, with latched output if I use separate on/off buttons. And it's cheap!
I sure would love to use one button for on/off so some sort of external flip-flop circuit may be in order.
Now I see what I should be searching for. Thanks.

Go into AutoZone where they have all the fancy lighted toggle switches.
I think it's the Pilot brand (they make fog lights), for either $25 or $40 (I forget), I think they have what you want.
It's a four-button remote, and a little receiver with four sets of outputs. When you push each button, it turns that particular output on or off.
This unit doesn't have a windshield-mount antenna like a remote starter----don't expect 1000 feet of range----probably 30 feet or so.
Consider mounting LED(s) atop your dash, so that from outside the car, you can tell if your accessory is on or off.
