Is there someone for which this siren triggered without any reason (I suppose it's fitted inside the car as a pain generator), that would engender irreparable ear damage. That's really risky for the driver / owner of the car.

If it triggered while the system was not armed, then the (-) trigger is grounding out somewhere. Check to see that no part of the wire is cut through or grounding out anywhere. Use a DMM to check for this.

You misunderstood the purpose of my post posted_image

Considering all is connected correctly outside, I wanted to know if the DEI 515R itself is irreproachable and reliable (electronic inside and never triggered without any reason.

If there's no trigger input to the siren, it will not go off.

Another question on the 515R:

I've heard discussions about using this siren with an existing alarm & siren and using a relay that is triggered by the siren output. The point being that some alarms won't be able to power (2) sirens.

If the 515R has a separate power feed used to charge the internal battery, does the + trigger line on the 515R really power the siren or is it a low current status line that trips the 515R siren which is really powered by its own power feed and internal battery?

If the second is true, the alarm should have no trouble powering the original siren and the + trigger status to the second since the 515R receives its power from a separate power souce/internal battery.

Can anyone verify this?
